Brian Lee is the founder of BJL Consultancy
Since launching his career with 15 years at the New South Wales Police Force, where he attained the rank of Detective Sergeant, Brian has provided technology, operational and security risk, crisis management, business continuity, compliance and auditing consultancy services to an extensive range of local and multinational companies within Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea. He has also assisted a number of companies in managing operational issues to improve efficiencies and processes.
Brian has led numerous high profile security risk projects following major adverse events, including the explosive ATM attacks targeting the Commonwealth Bank, Westpac and St George Bank in 2008/2009; the fatal shooting of a security guard in Sydney in 2010; major floods in Toowoomba and Brisbane in 2011; and with First Data International following the raising of the National Terrorism Public Alert Level in 2014. He has had significant involvement with the financial sector, including provision of security risk management and business continuity consulting services to all major banks and cash management equipment suppliers, following the marked increase in armed robbery and fraud events between 2007 and 2010.
Brian is a current member of the Australian Security Industry Association Limited (ASIAL) and ASIS, was a key contributor to the 2013 National Code of Practice regarding Cash-in-Transit, and has presented at numerous conferences. He has a security master license, an NSW Security License and accreditations and public liability and professional indemnity insurance up to $20 million
